Triangle Company Refraction

Summary

An animated prism triangle refracts light into a vivid rainbow spectrum on a dark background, used as a brand motion piece for the Vercel design team hiring announcement.

Visual description

A black frame is crossed by a broad diagonal band of light that bends and fans into a vivid rainbow of violet, blue, green, yellow and red, with a white-hot glow at its lower-left origin. A thin-outlined triangle sits slightly right of center, its interior dark and cutting through the beam, with a bright edge along its right side. Fine film grain and soft blurred edges give the light a photographic, analog feel.

Key takeaway

Let a minimal outlined shape interact with a single beam of spectral light on pure black, and add grain so the gradient feels optical rather than digital.
