Takedown Policy
Last updated: June 2026. This page is provided for informational purposes and is not legal advice.
What the library does
Inspiration by VASA Works catalogs publicly available design references for inspiration and study. Each item in the library is presented with:
- A link back to the original source URL
- Attribution to the brand, designer or studio where known
- Original descriptive analysis, taxonomy tags and editorial notes authored by this library
The library is intended to function as a curated reference and commentary resource, not as a substitute for the source sites it links to. We respect the rights of content creators and rights holders, and we process takedown requests promptly.
How to request removal
If you are a rights holder and believe an item in the library infringes your rights or should be removed for any other reason, email us at:
hello@vasa.works
Please include all of the following in your message:
- The URL or URLs of the item(s) in this library you want removed (for example: https://inspiration.vasa.works/item/website-sections/example-slug)
- Identification of the work you believe is being displayed without authorization, with enough detail for us to locate it
- Your relationship to the work: are you the creator, the rights holder, or an authorized representative?
- Contact information so we can follow up if needed
You do not need to follow any particular legal format. A plain email with the information above is sufficient for us to act.
What happens next
We review all takedown requests in good faith and aim to respond within a few business days. If we determine the request is valid, we will remove the item from the library promptly. We will acknowledge receipt of your message even if we need a few days to complete our review.
We do not require a formal DMCA notice to act, but if you choose to send one we will treat it accordingly.
Good-faith statement
This library is operated in good faith as a design reference resource. We believe cataloging publicly visible design work with attribution and source links is a legitimate activity, and the original analysis and structured descriptions we author add substantial value beyond mere reproduction. Nonetheless, we acknowledge that reasonable people can disagree about the limits of acceptable reference use, and we will err on the side of removal when a rights holder objects.
We do not tolerate abuse of the takedown process. Requests submitted in bad faith to remove legitimately referenced and attributed work may not be actioned.
