Animated Avatar States

Summary

A playful avatar character built in multiple animated states and color variants, reverse-engineered from Botmade and explored across dozens of expressive micro-states.

Visual description

Seven simplified avatar characters arranged in a horizontal row against a neutral background, each a rounded square with minimal two-dot eyes. Most are solid black, but the sequence includes a vibrant blue form, a grid of circular dots, and a trio of colored characters in purple, black, and cyan, each subtle variation suggesting different states or moods. The extreme minimalism and geometric consistency creates a friendly, iconic quality.

Key takeaway

Use a single simple geometric shape with minor color and pattern variations to communicate multiple distinct states or emotional expressions, making each variation instantly recognizable at small scales.
